Football and Whale Shark Art

Welcome back from the Easter weekend! I hope you all had a lovely break and enjoyed some quality family time together.

Even though it's been a short week this week, we have still managed to accomplish a lot in the classroom! Yesterday we had our last football session with Nati, Omar and Ryan. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time with the coaches and I've been so impressed with the progress each child has shown. We can now dribble and defend confidently and we're also super at shooting for the goal!

Today we wrote thank you letters for each of them which included our favourite part of our football training. Nati was really touched by the thoughtful letters and was impressed with the sounding out and illustrations the students spent time on.

Here is a photo of our completed letters:

Today we also did a lesson on whale sharks. We learnt many interesting facts about these large fish, such as, they grow to 50 feet long and can have up to 300 babies in one go! After our lesson we did some whale shark art. We used white crayons to create the pattern on their backs and then painted over this with blue dye.

We hope you like our artwork!
